I love my job as project manager for the Thames Basin Heaths Partnership. When I first started back in October 2020 my plan was to visit all the 70 ‘Greenspace on your doorstep’ walks in 70 days. Well Covid had other ideas and life has been very busy, but this autumn I’m going to try again.

There are now nearly 80 walks and they are all listed on our website. It’s a great way to explore your local area and find new greenspaces. Last weekend I went to visit Windmill Meadows, near Warfield in Bracknell Forest, and had a lovely walk. We timed it just right between thunder showers, the sun came out for us and we shared the space with lots of dog walkers. I wonder how many more I’ll get to visit before the end of 2022? I’ll keep you posted 😊
