FREE GUIDED WALK AT THURSLEY NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE!
Leisurely walk with the Reserve Manager at Thursley National Nature Reserve. Learn about this very special heathland nature reserve and the wildlife of its marshes.
Spot bog plants, including the carniverous Sundew, and admire an array of dragonflies – one of the best places for dragonflies in the country! – as well as all sorts of birds, including Dartford Warblers, Stonechats, Redstarts, Whitethroats and birds of prey. Close focus binoculars would be helpful. As would any dragonfly identification books you may have.
FIND US: The walk will start at Thursley National Nature Reserve, Elstead, Surrey GU8. Exact meeting point confirmed on booking. Free parking available.
FREE. Suitable for adults and children over 12. Suitable for anyone able to negotiate heathland paths – not all of the route is suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. BOOKING ESSENTIAL! No dogs please.
*** The walk is going ahead, but we recommend using plenty of sunscreen, wearing a hat and bringing lots of water with you. ***
BOOKING DETAILS: Booking opens on 1st July on Eventbrite.
