FREE NIGHTJAR WALK FOR TEACHERS!
Are you a local teacher? Would you like to find out more about connecting your students with our amazing local heathlands, whilst listening and looking for Nightjars?
Join Education Officer Michael for an evening wander at the fabulous Chobham Common National Nature Reserve in search of one of our most mysterious birds – the European Nightjar. You’ll learn about this magical nocturnal bird, steeped in folklore, and the rare heathland habitat it calls home for just a few months of the year. Michael is sure to provide plenty of inspiration for including heathland in your lessons and it’s a great opportunity to see him in action and find out about the free heathland sessions he delivers for schools (in the classroom or on the heath).
Please only book if you are a local teacher. We are running lots of other free Nightjar walks throughout the season, including during Heath Week.
